MOVE
By: Mazelle Stirtmire Webster

As I stare out of the window

Pondering Life’s promises,

And the challenges that they bring forth,

I begin to notice the ordered disarray of circumstances and events.

Often times it’s confusing to move,

For I find myself bewildered

By the paths that lie before me.

I’m assured that there are always consequences.

What if I were to go left?

Or, maybe I should go right.

It’s quite possible that my plight might improve if I go forward,

But, there’s a good chance that I would be best served by stepping back.

And yet remains the choice of up, and even that of down.

Planning and thinking,

Pondering life’s promises,

And, yet still, I don’t know.

So, I must simply move.
